NASHVILLE - Elton Lee Denton, 86, passed away, Wednesday, September 11, 2013. He was born June 20, 1927 in Nash County to the late Hebert and Bessie Joyner Denton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Tant Denton, two brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Polly Rose Denton, son, Tim Denton and wife Angie of Spring Hope, step-son, Michael Mozingo and wife Cora of Concord, step-daughters; Amy Mozingo Prince of Nashville and Terri Mozingo of Loveland, CO., six grandsons; three granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held September 14, 2013 at Oakdale Cemetery with Rev. Caswell Shaw, Rev. Andrew Hook and Rev. Woody Jones officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to White Oak Methodist Church @ 2969 Pattie Boone Rd. Nashville, NC  27856.
