JOHN “DOC” JONES SR.
NASHVILLE - Funeral services for John “Doc” Jones Sr., 93, who died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 will be Friday, March 1 at 12 noon at Word Tabernacle Church with Rev. James Gailliard officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Annie Foster and Yvonne Jones, both of Laurel, MD, Darleen Jones, Carleen Edwards and Gwendolyn Jones, all of Nashville, Velma Archer of Rocky Mount; step-daughters Shirley Vines of Mickleton, NY and Lillie Hooks of Washington DC; a son, David Broddie of Capitol Heights, MD; step-sons, Leander Vines of Washington, DC, Alexander Vines of Rocky Mount; sisters, Louise Williams of Ayden; brother, Horace Jones of Rocky Mount; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.

Open visitation will be from 3  to 7 p.m.  Thursday, Feb. 28 at Richardson Funeral Home is Nashville.
