BEULAH COMMUNITY NEWS
Thank everyone for your support last Friday night at our monthly fish fry. We always enjoy the fellowship with each of you and we hope you enjoyed the fellowship too and also the great meal.

Sunday school began at 9:45 on Sunday, followed by church service at 10:45 at Beulah Church of Christ. Invocation was given by minister, Daniel West followed by praise songs and a communion hymn, “My Faith Looks Up to Thee,” and communion meditation. After serving of communion, giving of tithes and offerings followed. The message, by minister Daniel West, was “Joseph: From Slave to Deputy Pharaoh.” After the sermon we closed by singing the invitation hymn “More Love to  Thee” and prayer.

The leader of Junior church was Wendy Rose. Flowers were given by Frances, Mike, Germaine and Benjamin Dunn in loving memory of Pamela and Freddie Dunn. Pamela’s birthday would have been Feb. 7. We still remember and miss them both but know they are in a better place.

We still had several members out due to sickness. Some of those were Bud and Mary Massengale, Bell Rose, Mae Bell Hardy, Susie Doswell, Lettie Nelms, Todd Rose, Mildred Catlette. We miss them all and hope they will soon be doing better and back with us. Keep them in your prayers. Others on our prayer list are Imel Griffin, Jonathan Braxton, Carl Briley, Doris Bigler and family, Jackie Coggins, Sandra Walker, Joe Radford, Mattie Whitley, Brody Wallace and family. We were glad to have Carolean Hyde, the Jim Walker family, Darwell Daniels and Libby and Debbie Daniels back with us but still need our prayers.

The men’s bible study meets every Tuesday night at the home of Daniel West. The ladies bible study meets every Tuesday night at the home of some of the ladies. For additional information on which homes, call Amy West at 459-7893. The Ladies Aid is meeting again every third Monday night at the fellowship hall. For information on this meeting call Dorothy Fisher at 443-4439.

We really missed Mickey Matthews on Sunday morning at church. We’re glad he was not sick but was visiting in Jacksonville N.C. with La Rue Hambrick, a cousin, who grew up at Beulah. We know they enjoyed the visit. We all love La Rue  (and Mikey).

On Saturday night Greg Webb gave his mother Terry Webb a night out to have seafood at an Oyster Bar. It was to help celebrate her recent retirement. A few of us joined them for a great meal. Wilma and William Enroughty, Jack and Jean Outlaw, really enjoyed the event. Terry is the sister of Wilma. Congratulations “Sis!” Little Ashley Webb, Terry’s granddaughter (of course) was there and she gave us all big hugs which was really special.

I pray you all have a great week. Thought for the week: Don’t worry about tomorrow, it will have problems of its own. Make the best of each day as you face it.

God bless us all.
