JOSEPH WILTON EATMON
Joseph Wilton Eatmon, age 90, passed away on January 24, 2013. Born in Nash County on September 20, 1922, he was one of 8 children of the late Joseph Ernest Eatmon and Nannie Pearson Eatmon. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Virginia Bedgood Eatmon; 4 brothers, Wade, Garlan, Rennie and Thurston Eatmon and 2 sisters, Ruby Mercer and Clarice Fisher.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Price and husband Chuck of Erwin, sons Joe Eatmon and wife Patti of Marshville, and Alan Eatmon and wife Martha of Raleigh; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and a sister Thelma Bell as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Sunday, January 27, 2013   at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home in Rocky Mount, with the Rev. Tim Hogan officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, for donations to be made to West Mount Baptist Church, 8487 West Mount Dr., Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
