WILLIAM HOWARD PRIDGEN
William Howard Pridgen, 82, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013. He was born March 10, 1930 in Wilson County to the late James and Delphia Batts Pridgen.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Ruth Vick Pridgen, a brother, James Robert Pridgen and sisters Mary McCormick, Fannie Ruth Lewis, Sue Gray Price and Elsie Joyce Pridgen.

He is survived by his niece, Bessie P. Winstead and husband Sam of the home, one sister, Arylene Butler of Falls Church, VA.

A funeral service was held Thursday, January 24, 2013 in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Military Honors provided by the VFW. Rev. Mary Todd officiated.  Committal service was Friday, January 25, 2013 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens of Wilson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Morton Presbyterian Church Woman’s Group, 6605 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
