DANNY “PREACHER MAN” JAMES
Danny “Preacher Man” James, 55 passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012.He was born in Pitt County April 2, 1956 to the late Jennis Lee and Nellie Cobb James. 

He is survived by his wife Lynn James of the home; his children, Christie James Ayscue and husband, Andru of Castalia, Willie Daniel James, II and Fiancé Alex Edwards of  Apex, Amy Carlini of Charlotte, Adopted daughter, Lisa W. Carpenter and husband, Chris of Castalia, Kelly Cox of England, Katina Ann of Lexington;  brothers, Sonny E. James of Nashville, Jennis “Bud” James of Stantonsburg; sister, Rachel Norris of Greenville; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many friends and church family.  He was preceded in death by three sisters, Vivian Scott, Carolyn James and Susie Knox.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Robbie Pipper officiating.  Burial will follow at Ayscue Bobbit Family Cemetery in Castalia. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Stairway to Heaven Biker and Community Church or Guardian of the Cross, 7442 S. NC Hwy 58, Elm City, NC  27822
