Jean Boykin Flora, 84, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012. She was born August 17, 1927 in Wilson County, daughter of the late William and Neppie Renfrow Boykin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers Robert and Roy Boykin and a sister, Doris B. Bunn.
She is survived by a son Timmie Flora of Spring Hope, daughters Betty Flora Howell and husband Frankie of Nashville, Lois Flora Taylor and husband Donnie of Ahoskie, Linda Flora Hardison and husband Gene of Wilson; sister, Ruth B. Bissette; sisters in law, Elizabeth Boykin, Jane F. Jones, and Faye F. Vest, Josephine M. Flora; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Bailey Cemetery with the Rev. Todd Creech officiating.
