NASHVILLE –– Phyllis Womble Wood Edwards, 81, died on Wednesday, January 25, 2012.
She was born November 10, 1930 in Nash County, the daughter of the late Gerald Lee “Sam” Womble and Edith Womble.
Survivors include her husband, J.D. Edwards; daughters, Linda Rich and husband Dwight, and Susan Lancaster; one son, Robert Wood and wife Nancy all of Nashville.; and two grandsons .
A service to celebrate Phyllis’s Life was held at 2 p.m. on January 27, 2012 at Johnson Chapel of Nashville. Burial followed at Forest Hills Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Community Hospice, 800 Tiffany Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 or Rock Creek Baptist Church in Nashville.
