George Davis “David” Bowen, age 55, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012. A native of Rocky Mount, David was born March 9, 1956, son of the late George David Bowen and Alice Langley Bowen.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Deborah McCracken Bowen; two daughters, Lisa Bowen Lancaster (Mike) of Temperance Hall and Linda Danielle Bowen of Rocky Mount; one son, David Trey Bowen of Rocky Mount; and three grandchildren; step-mother, Elizabeth Bowen of Nashville; two sisters, Barbara Hawkins (Bobby) of Nashville and Jeannie Moseman (Percy) of Bailey; and one brother, John Bowen (Edna) of Nashville; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Hutchins officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
