Gerald Winslow Wells Sr., 77, of Nash County, passed away January 10, 2026. Born on June 9, 1948, he was the son of the late Willie Redmond Wells and Eura Matthews Wells.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janet Wells; his son, Gerald Winslow Wells Jr.; and his two daughters, Emily Wells Williamson (Chad) and Angela Wells Johnston (Charles Lee); his brother, Tim Wells (Linda); two sisters, Jencie Meadows (Earl) and Cindy Wells (Kenny Viverette); six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Along with his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his brother, Redmond Wayne Wells.

A funeral service will be held on January 15, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home, with Pastor Robin Fisher and Pastor Lee Johnston officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
