JANUARY 16
The Nash County Arts Council will host their "Spark the Stage Talent Takeover" fundraiser Finals, Friday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. Come watch contestants compete for three cash prizes. (Contestant list to be released immediately after auditions dates.) Advance tickets are $18 Reserved or $15 General. Costs of admissions will increase by $5 day of show. Nash Arts is located at 100 E. Washington St., Nashville.

JANUARY 17
The Joint Veterans Committee will perform a flag raising ceremony at Jack Laughery Veterans Memorial Park, 321 N. Church St., Rocky Mount on Saturday, Jan. 17th at 11 a.m. to honor Melbourne Henry Pridgen, Major, U.S. Marine Corps. This event is held monthly except for May and November. Those months the committee honors all veterans on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. The service is free to an honorably discharged veteran's family of all branches. JANUARY 20
Town of Nashville Planning Board Meeting will be held Jan. 20, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Harold D. Cooley Library Town Council Chambers, 114 W. Church St., Nashville

Nashville Wiling Workers and Nash County Democratic Precinct Cluster will host MLK DAY service on Jan. 19th at 12 noon at the O.D. Moore Building, 808 S. Alston St., Nashville. The free event begins at noon, lunch will be served. Guest speaker is Pastor James Gailliard

JANUARY 22
The Nash County Arts Council Arts Council presents Bill Lyerly with recent NC Music Hall of Fame inductee, Clyde Mattocks, and Friends, Thursday, Jan. 22, at 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $20 reserved seats or $16 general admission and are available at www.ticketleap.events/tickets/nash-county-arts-council. Cost of admissions increase by $5 day of show. (Nash Arts members receive discounts on tickets and admissions.) Nash Arts is located at 100 E. Washington St., Nashville.

JANUARY 26
The Nash County Arts Council will host a snowman gourd hand-sculpting class with artist Regina Pena Monday, Jan. 26, from 6-8:30 p.m. Costs are $40 general or $35 Nash Arts members. JANUARY 27
Harold D. Cooley Library will host its Builders Club for ages 6 and older on Jan. 27 from 4-5 p.m. Call 252-459-2106 for more information. The library is located at 114 W. Church St., Nashville.

JANUARY 30
The Nash County Arts Council will host its annual Denim and Diamonds Gala fundraiser on Friday, Jan. 30, from 6-9 p.m. This year's theme is "Boots and Bling," and the evening will include entertainment by Raleigh's Boots and Bangs 90's Country Tribute Band, catering by Nashville Exchange, and a silent auction. Costs are $43 per individual or $80 per couple ($38 / $70 Nash Arts members). Meal and entertainment are included in ticket costs. FEBRUARY 9
The Town of Nashville will host a Historic Homes Town Hall discussion on Feb. 9, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Harold D. Cooley Library Town Council Chambers, 114 W. Church St., Nashville.
