Nashville to investigate well repairs

Wells throughout the town of Nashville will undergo assessments that could help bring two inactive wells back to life.
Nashville's Town Council approved a contract with Applied Resource Management for assessments on wells throughout town.
The town currently owns five drinking water wells but only three are active.

Nash waits for response from NCDOT

Nash County commissioners have opted to request action to be taken to reinstate left turns at an intersection with multiple roundabouts.
Commissioner Wayne Outlaw had devised a resolution to be sent to the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), Gov. Roy Cooper's office, and NC General Assembly for consideration to restore left turns at the intersection of Old Carriage Road and Sunset Avenue.

July 4th events draw large crowds around Nash County

Area Fourth of July events were a hit.
Castalia Town Manager Marlita Thompson served as a volunteer at the town's Fourth of July commemoration held on July 2. She said she has received positive feedback from attendees who said they had an utterly satisfying time at the event.

Filing begins for Nash County school board seats

Candidate filing has begun for expiring seats on the Nash County School Board. Filing ends at noon on August 5.
Members who currently hold the seats include Dean Edwards (District 2); Chris Bissette (District 4); Lank Dunton (District 6); and LaShawnda C. Washington (District 9). District 8, the seat Reginald Silver resigned from, is also open for filing.

Rescues do charge a fee, in an effort to cover their costs of spay/neutering, heartworm treatment, other vet care including all vaccines and sometimes surgeries for injuries, etc.

Constitution doesn't mention separation of church and state

On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court of the United States overturned Roe v. Wade which had made into law on January 22, 1973. Roe v. Wade ruled that the Constitution of the United States protected a pregnant woman's rights to choose to have an abortion.
Since the day it was overturned, we are constantly hearing on talk shows and on the news about the Separation of Church and State mentioned in the United States Constitution.

North Carolina's egg prices were higher on all sizes when compared to last week. Supplies of extra large and medium were very light while large were light to meet a good demand. The North Carolina weighted average price quoted Thursday, June 30, for small lot sales of delivered, cartoned, grade "A" eggs was 313.10 for Extra Large, 306.16 for Large, 232.76 for Medium, and 166.00 for Small eggs.

Hearing loss can have a positive side

I stepped to the bathroom and the door didn't close all the way and I could hear "unnamed" members of my family talking about me two rooms away.
Specifically, they were discussing a decline in my hearing, or as they put it, "he totally needs a hearing aid" and "he is completely deaf."
Well, I heard that just fine, thank you.

Why can't we find common ground solutions?

It seems we'll never see the day where leaders of this nation will find a way to sit across the table with members of the opposite party, look within and listen to each other, to actually come up with solutions without swaying all the way to the right or all the way to the left.
Two of the most controversial topics right now are gun control and a woman's right to have an abortion.
