The theory of evolution doesn't answer all the questions

Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female." (Matthew 19:4)
Evolution has as much to do with religion as creationism does. If one theory attempts to explain that God had nothing to do with the creation of man, why can't the idea that he had everything to do with it be taught? What are the intellectuals so afraid of?

Intersections: God and Life

If there's one thing that the Old Testament has in abundance, it's battle scenes. We might be tempted to skim these passages, thinking they're just dry historical records that have no relevance for our lives today. However, God has recorded these events in His Word for our reproof, correction, and training (2 Timothy 3:16). By searching for the principles embedded in these accounts, we'll find truth that can transform our lives.

Letter to Holly on her 22nd birthday

Dear Holly,
I remember when "old people" used to tell me to "enjoy it because it goes by fast" when I'd be out with you in a store or at church or at family functions.
As a matter of fact, they'd often end these "homey" encounters with "next thing you know she'll be graduating from college."
I thought this were truly the musings of old people, who in retrospect, I think were about the same age I am now. They weren't so old after all.

Volunteers are the lifeline of successful local events

I've been in the planner's seat since 1997 for the Nashville Blooming Festival. I can attribute 100 percent of many years of successful events to what I call our lifeline - our volunteers.
First there are the volunteers who work year-round organizing fund raising, the parade, the craft vendor set-up, food vendors and all of the other nuts and bolts of the festival. I can say I've been extremely fortunate to have several seats at the table filled with people who wholeheartedly give their all to this event!
