Many Americans are thinking about God

We recently had Patriot Day to honor those who lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks. Everyone's minds were flooded with memories from that awful day and the following weeks.
After 9/11/01, Americans began thinking a lot about God. Church attendance was up dramatically as were the sale of Bibles. It seemed that the battle between good and evil reached the very soul of man.

Intersections: God and Life

A wake-up call for the Lord's Church - this is what our world desperately needs! As I ponder many things this morning and reflect on my past Sunday's sermon, I'm particularly interested in some questions that arise for me from the text this morning, Mark 2:1-12.
The story is very familiar to church attendees and there is not much I can say that you haven't heard. Perhaps that is why I write, to provoke our thinking. Maybe it's time for change.

Teen says air fryer is greatest gadget ever

My youngest son says our new air fryer is the greatest thing I've ever bought.
I don't know about that.
In his lifetime, we've bought firearms, our first flat screen TV, a bug zapper shaped like a tennis racket, goats and blackout curtains.
Lowell has been known for dramatic and hyperbolic commentary on a daily basis, but I'd agree it does rank high among gadgets.

The answer we want to hear isn't always the right answer

If you "Google" long enough you will find the answer you want - but it won't necessarily be the right answer!
It can be somewhat frustrating in this business to make all the necessary calls to track down accurate information so that we relay to our readers the most up-to-date reliable information as possible to only find people googling or surfing social media to find the answer they "want" to hear.
Regardless the issue, this seems to be happening in all arenas and at all ages.
