Mature Friends ~ We've found that our more mature pets are calmer, laid back and generally very sweet wonderful companions. Most, through no fault of their own (family breakup or death, moving, etc.) find themselves in the Shelter system. They often have plenty of energy, love to go walks (although maybe not real long ones!), and get along with everybody and everything.

Death, resurrection confirms Biblical truth about Heaven

"In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." (John 14:2)
My mother in-law told me last week that she was ready and looking forward to heaven. My thoughts immdediately turned to the 2004 book titled 90 Minutes in Heaven. It has been a source of comfort to many about what the Bible says about heaven. It is the account of a fatal automobile accident that took the life of Don Piper.

Luke's Word for the Week

This world we live in, is a world where, "prove it" is the status quo. Whether a courtroom or a job resume, it's all about what can you prove, what you can do. The way of life is this way, yet the way of faith is quite different.
We do not need to prove anything; Christ has proven his love for us (Romans 5:8).

We've got a lot to be excited about in Nashville

Nashville is pretty fortunate in that it's one of a few towns that still have a beautiful, thriving downtown area.
Unfortunately, downtowns aren't what they used to be and many downtowns have been left essentially abandoned.
