John Gilliam Hardy
John Gilliam Hardy, 87, passed away Friday, September 15, 2006. He was born September 28, 1918 in Halifax County, son of the late William Robert and Georgianna Gardner Hardy. He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Betty Hale and husband Bonnie, William Hardy and wife Margaret, Leo Hardy, Leah Clark and husband Claude, Gertrude Morris and husband Thurman and brother-in-law, Dave Benton. He was a long time farmer in the North Nashville Community and in later years a long distance truck driver for Hardee's Food System. He served in the US Army during WWII for four years in the Rhineland Theatre and was a charter member of the original North Nashville Ruitan Club. More ...
