Roxie Elizabeth Joyner Windham Tate

Roxie Elizabeth Joyner Windham Tate passed away on July 12, 2016. She was born October 8, 1928, to the late Fred and Ruth Highsmith Joyner, she was also predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Wilbert Earl Windham, and her second spouse of 15 years, Clarence Tate. In addition, she was predeceased by an infant sister, Francis Joyner, and her two brothers, John Alton Joyner and Fred Joyner, Jr.

Roxie is survived by her only child, Kenneth E. Windham (Carla) of Nashville; two grandsons; two great grandchildren; sister, Betsy Jarrett (Dick) of Waverly, VA.

A service was held Saturday, July 16, 2016, in the chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home and Cremations in Nashville. Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be directed in Roxie's honor to Autrey's Creek Primitive Baptist Church, C/O Ray Mewborn, 3492 S. Pitt Street, Farmville, NC 27828.
