Marie M. Rose, 89, passed away, Saturday, October 4, 2014. She was born August 25, 1925 in Nash County to the late Zebulon and Bernice Coggin Moss. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Rose, Jr., son, Jimmie Rose, two grandchildren and a sister, Nina Rackley.
Survivors include two sons; David Rose and wife Cherie, Allen Rose and wife Sheree, daughter, Brenda Vester and husband Hubert, daughter-in-law, Emily Rose, brother, Steve Moss and wife Phyllis, two sisters; Ruby Matthews and husband Kenneth, Bernice Pitts and husband A.W., sister-in-law, Janice Rose, eight grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Elm Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Jesse Mooney and Pastor Richard Price officiating. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery.
