HOLLISTER - Funeral services for Bettie Mae Harrison, 84, who died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Linda Taybron officiating. Burial followed in the Harrison family cemetery.
Surviving: daughters, Betty Giddins of Turnersville, N.J., Margaret Robertson of Smithfield, Va., Luzanner Hunt and Carroll Cooper, both of Warrenton, and Edith Rogers of Rocky Mount; sons, George Harrison Jr., Douglas Leon Harrison and Amos Lee Harrison, all of Hollister, and Jerome Harrison of Rocky Mount; sister, Mary Etta Hill of Philadelphia, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Wake services were held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at Richardson Funeral Home, Louisburg.
