ANNA TURNER FLOOD

Anna Turner Flood, age 91, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Born in Edgecombe County on July 19, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Fletcher Turner and Elizabeth Evans Turner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Johnnie B. Flood, daughter-in-law, Keturah Gail Flood, great-granddaughter, Amiee Lynn Pitt, great-grandson in law, Cpl. Ricardo Villahermosa, two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by four daughters, Patricia Flood Joyner (Billy) of New Bern, Barbara Flood Powell, Gracie Flood Evans (Ricky) and Joni Flood Moss, all of Rocky Mount; two sons, Joseph Richard Flood (Karen) of Elm City and Jimmie Lawrence Flood (Dianna) of Rocky Mount; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Saturday, December 28, 2013  in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Bill Wingard of Calvary Baptist Church of New Bern officiating. Burial followed at Flood Williams Family Cemetery, Flood’s Store Road, Sharpsburg.
