Louis Joseph “Joe” Heffner III passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013.  He was born June 30, 1961 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and was the son of Louis Joseph Heffner, Jr. and Dianne Valentine Heffner.  He was preceded in death by his father. 
He is survived by his  mother, of Rocky Mount; his sisters and brothers-in-law Cindy Heffner Brake and Don Brake of Macclesfield, Melanie Heffner Williams of Rocky Mount, DeeDee Heffner Walker and Paul Walker of Rocky Mount
A graveside service was held December 11, 2013, at Millbranch Cemetery,  in Sharpsburg, officiated by Pastor Ricky Freeman of Sunset Church of God in Tarboro.
