JARVIS DONNIE EDWARDS
SPRING HOPE, NC-Jarvis Donnie Edwards, 66 on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 completed his earthly journey and was called home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

He was born in Nash County, June 15, 1940 son of the late Willie Syron Edwards and Letha Frances Edwards Edwards.

Mr. Edwards was a swine farmer, his military service was with the Army Reserve. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church where he was a trustee, deacon, Sunday School teacher and was a Gideon.

Those left to cherish the memories of him are his wife, Sylena Warren Edwards of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jenny Edwards of Port Angeles, Washington; sister, Mary Sue Fulghum and bother-in-law Worth Fulghum Jr. of Live Oak, Florida; brother-in-law, Johnny Warren of Zebulon.

The family eceived friends from 7:00 – 8:30 pm Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 226 S. Barnes Street, Nashville, NC.

A gathering to celebrate his life was held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 20, 2007 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Hawley officiating. Burial followed at Edwards Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Macedonia Baptist Church, 551 Macedonia Road, Spring Hope, NC 27882, or Gideons, P. O. Box 485, Nashville, NC 27856 or Friends of Hospice, 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
