JAMES “SHIRT” HENRY PRIDGEN
James “Shirt” Henry Pridgen, 73, passed away November 19, 2011.

He was born October 15, 1938 in Nash County. Shirt was the son of the late Ben and Pearl Narron Pridgen.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mattie Williams and two brothers, Jr. and Buddy Pridgen.

He is survived by his significant other, Emma Joyner of Nashville, son, James “Keith” Pridgen and companion Kim Jones, one daughter, Vickie Pridgen Proctor and husband Dallas of Harkers Island, sons, Harvey “Steve” Bottoms and wife Brendle of Red Oak, Marvin “Earl” Bottoms of Rocky Mount, two brothers, Jack Pridgen, Bill Pridgen and wife Jean of Rocky Mount, five sisters, Mrytle Pridgen, Betty Mae Hawley, Mary Batts and husband Donald , Bobbie White and Doris Hall, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Tuesday November 22, 2011 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Moss officiating.

Live plants will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Charity of one’s choice.
