NASH COUNTY - Lurene Morgan Parker died Thursday, March 31, 2011.

She was born September 10, 1921 in Nash County, the youngest child of Jack and Lucinda Morgan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Parker; sisters, Dilcie, Josephine and Stella; brothers, Paul, Leman and John; and her daughter, Linda Faye Morgan.

She is survived by a son, Pastor Curtis Morgan (Bertha) of Wilson; 3 grandsons; one granddaughter; sister, Zenora Perry of Raleigh; step-daughters, Jesse Gray and Lois Sharpe of Wilson; step-sons, James Parker of Bailey, Tee Parker of Atlanta, Ga., 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
