Tolerance can sometimes be quite intolerable
Tolerance can sometimes be quite intolerable

May not remember his name but I can surely remember one thing.
He was a regular at the six-star dining facility in the heart of urban Castalia, Dorothy's Country Kitchen. Ask how this patron was doing and he had a one-word answer.

Reader seeks information on stolen property

Dear Editor:
I operate a small vegetable farm on Powell Road in Edgecombe County. I allow people to come harvest what they need and then come to my house and pay. We don't charge much and find that most people are very honest. Sometimes when we are not home, people will come back days later, tell us what they got and pay. However, we occassionally see evidence of where someone took vegetables had never paid.

Nash County Animal Friends' Notebook

Cats are making our hearts bleed.
If you love cats, please do not put your cats outside if they have not been spayed or neutered (fixed). What happens is, they go feral, go back to the wild and each generation after that will become more so.
Our County's Animal Control believes in TNK (Trap 'n Kill) when there is a complaint.
