Mrs. Elizabeth Bettie Mae Avent, 89, formerly of Franklin County, departed this life on January 1, 2011 in Maryland.

Graveside services were held on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the Avent Family Cemetery in Castalia.
