Peggy Hopkins Pitt, 63, died Thursday, December 23, 2010.  She was born June 4, 1947 in Nash County, daughter of Ruby Bunn Hopkins and the late Alsey Monroe Hopkins.

She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Michael Pitt, a daughter, Donna Lynn Boykin and husband  James of  Middlesex; brothers, Earl Hopkins and wife Linda of Elm City, Rudy Hopkins and wife Betty Jo of Momeyer, Tommy Hopkins and Don Hopkins and wife Debbie all of Spring Hope, Scott Hopkins and wife Joy of Louisburg; sisters, Rubylene Knott of Spring Hope, Nancy Whitley and husband Carroll of Middlesex, Diane Gupton and husband Melvin of Louisburg and Darlene Jennings of Spring Hope; and  4 grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Hopkins Family Cemetery with the Rev. David Raynor officiating.
