ROCKY MOUNT - Emma Pearl Barnes, 74, of Rocky Mount, departed this life on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount.

There was a visitation for Mrs. Barnes from 10 to 11 a.m., with the Funeral Service beginning at 11 a.m., on Saturday, December 18, 2010, in the Rocky Mount Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home.  Rev. Wayne Hines will be officiating.  The interment took place immediately following the service in the Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery in Rocky Mount.
