Benny Keith Adcox, 72, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010. He was born April 19, 1938 in Nash County to the late Robert Ernest and Katie Lee Watson Adcock.  He was preceded in death by five brothers, Bob, Floyd “Dick”, Melvin, Sammy and Wayne Adcox and two sisters, Mary Catherine Collins and Billy Adcox Farmer.

He is survived by three sons, Thomas Adcox and wife, Jamie, Stephen Adcox and wife, Angie, and Mark Adcox and wife, Kathy all of the Battleboro community; four grandchildren ; two brothers, Cathoris “Pete” Adcox and wife, Sonya of Rocky Mount and Willie Adcox and wife, Nancy of Battleboro community; one sister, Gwen Johnson and husband, Jack of Battleboro community; three sister-in-laws, Cora Adcox of Nashville, Grace Adcox and Dot Adcox of Battleboro community; many nephews and nieces.

A memorial service was held by the family Friday, December 10, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Battleboro United Methodist Church in Battleboro,   with visitation following in the Church Fellowship Hall. The Rev. Parker Phillips officiated. Donations will be accepted to the Battleboro United Methodist Church Chimes Fund; P. O. Box 178, Battleboro, NC 27809.
