SPRING HOPE – Clellan Whitley Jr., 63, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007. Funeral services were held Jan. 9 at the Gold Valley Church of God of Prophecy.

He was born June 15, 1943 in Nash County to the late Carrie Mae and Clellan Whitley Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Fan Whitley of Spring Hope; a son, Terry Whitley and wife Kim of Spring Hope; two daughters, Jeanette Riggins and husband Tim of Spring Hope and Donna Carvell and husband Simon of Rugby, England; sisters, Joyce Peele and husband Ray, and Lois Lewis and husband William Henry, all of Middlesex; and four grandchildren.
