Johnnie Edward Batchelor, 49, of Elm City died January 4, 2007. Funeral services were 7 p.m. Friday at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, 4403 London Church Road, Elm City. Graveside services were 11 a.m. Saturday in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Shawn Garnett, Rev. Jeff Brantley and Rev. Robert Kelley officiated.

Mr. Batchelor is survived by his wife, Kim Edwards Batchelor; two daughters, Lindsay Michelle Batchelor and Stephanie Brooke Batchelor all of the home, two sisters, Fannie Batchelor Pridgen of Nashville, Joyce Batchelor Stone of Rocky Mount; two brothers, Marvin Earl Batchelor of Nashville and Jarvis Lee Batchelor of Rocky Mount.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Claudius Batchelor Jr. and Lula Mildred Anderson Batchelor.
