SPRING HOPE -  Bessie Marie Carpenter, 86, passed away, Friday, November 12, 2010. She was born December 18, 1923 in Nash County. She was the daughter of the late, William Ernest and Susie Carpenter Boone. She was preceded in death by her husband Willard Carpenter and by two brothers.

She is survived by one daughter, Lillie Mae Jeffries of Spring Hope, one sister, Mabel Joyner of Spring Hope, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 7:00Pm in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Moss officiating. Visitation followed after the service. Committal Service was Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery of Nashville.
