ROCKY MOUNT - Roy Hicks, Jr., 84, passed away, Saturday, October 23, 2010. He was born July 21, 1926 in New Hanover County. Roy was preceded in death by three sons, Johnny, Mike and Gary Hicks, two brothers, Sam and Norman Hicks, two sisters, Maggie Stallings and Annie Tanner.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Lee Mills Hicks, one daughter, Bonnie Collins and husband Charles of Nashville, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation was Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 7:00-8:30PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Graveside service was Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11:00AM at Pineview Cemetery with the Rev. Allan Peacock officiating.
