ROCKY MOUNT -  Jimmy Baker, Sr., 71, passed away, Monday, October 18, 2010. He was the son of the late, Luther and Mattie Pridgen Baker. He was preceded in death by his wife Inez Baker, an infant baby girl Baker and three brothers, Albert, Dock and Shine Baker.

He is survived by his companion, Pattie Bissette, one son, Jimmy Baker, Jr. and wife Ann of Rocky Mount, two daughters, Peggy Wheeless and husband Wayne of Rocky Mount, Kathy Pittman and husband Danny of Elm City, one sister, Minnie Billups and husband Thomas of Rocky Mount, eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral service were held on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Mills and Rev. Gerald Parker officiating. Visitation followed after the service. Committal Service was Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
