Joshua Wilson Lane Jr., 59, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010. He was born April 27, 1951, in Edgecombe County, the son of Joshua Wilson Lane Sr. and Pauline Bradley Lane . He was preceded in death by his father.

Wilson is survived by his wife of 14 years, Phyllis Edwards Lane and two daughters: Jennifer Phillips, and husband David, and Nicky Lane, all of Tarboro, son Paul Phillips and wife Jessica of Rocky Mount; 3 grandchildren; his mother Pauline Bradley Lane, brother Vinson “Vent” Lane and wife Crystal; sister Michelle Warren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family received friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2010 at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home. A Funeral service was be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Wheeler & Woodlief Chapel with the Pastor Michael Coggin officiating.
