CASTALIA - Vanessa Lynn Baxley, 23, passed away, Wednesday, September 15, 2010. She was born April 24, 1987 in Nash County.  She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather Roscoe Baxley.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her parents, Phillip and Stacey Oliphant Baxley, two brothers, Christopher Ray Baxley and wife Elizabeth of Spring Hope, Brian Kelly Baxley and companion Jessica Rush of Castalia; maternal grandparents Stacey and Shirley Oliphant of Spring Hope; paternal grandmother Helen Myers of Raeford; two nieces; two nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Graveside service were held Monday, September 20, 2010 at 11:00AM at Forest Hill Cemetery with Dr. Dal Coppedge officiating. Visitation followed after the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made toward the funeral services in care of Phillip Baxley.
