Lena Hendricks Braziel, 85, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2010. She was born September 21, 1924 in Nash County. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Edgar and Susie Johnson Hendricks. Lena was preceded in death by her husband Alton Braziel. 

She is survived by her son Michael Braziel and wife Susan of Rocky Mount, two daughters, Brenda Faulkner Lindsey and husband Troy of Nashville and Cindy Matthews and husband Alan of Rocky Mount; her sister Louise Hendricks Snider of Charlotte and sister-in-law Bertha Hendricks of Spring Hope; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The funeral Service was held on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Braziel officiating.  Visitation followed the service.
