Willis Owens Warren, 74, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. He was born September 11, 1935 in Green County, son of the late William Stanley Warren and Esther Owens Warren.

He is survived by his  wife of 21 years, Patricia Gay Warren; daughters, Joyce Warren Davis and Tammy Warren; 2 grandchildren; step son, Dennis Deaver (Sharon); 2 step grandchildren; sisters, Lorrain Hulon, Rose Dew, Cathy Kazmiefe (Bob); sisters-in-law, Cathlene Warren, Kathy Sykes (Randy) and Reba Gay; brothers-in-law, Bobby Gay (Lucinda) and Gene Gay (Frances).

He was preceded in death by his brother, William Stanley Warren, Jr.; brothers-in-law, David Dew, John Jobe, John Viverette, William D. Gay, Jr., Kenneth Gay; and sisters-in-law, Louise Gay Viverette, Daphne Jobe .

A memorial service was held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 in the chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. Rev. Dave Grogan of Peoples Fellowship Baptist Church will preside.

Visitation with family and friends followed the service.
