Doris Jean Riffey, 81, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010. She was born May 27, 1929 in Nash County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Robert M. and Annie Elizabeth Batson Hadnott. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Riffey; and her sons, Timothy Gene Lewis and John Daniel Lewis.

She is survived by her daughters, Trudy Driver and husband Jerry of Red Oak, and Shirley Parker and husband Donnie of Rocky Mount; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

The family received friends from 6-7 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Johnson Funerals and Cremations on English Road. Graveside services were held 11 am Monday at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
