NASHVILLE -  Harry Lee Askey, 69, of Nashville died Thursday, July 8, 2010.  A memorial service was conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The Rev. Ray Wells officiated.  The family received friends immediately following the service.

Mr. Askey is survived by his wife, Hazel Askey; a daughter, Anita Askey of Kenly; a son, James Askey and a grandson, Elliott Askey both of Clayton
