RED OAK - Lemuel “Nick” Kornegay Moore, 71, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010. He was born October 10, 1938 in Rocky Mount, son of the late Julius Henry Moore, Sr. and Fannie Boone Moore of Nash County. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Julius Moore, Jr. and Benjamin W. Moore.

Nick is survived by his wife of 49 years, Margo Kennedy Moore; two daughters, Lynn M. Mills and husband Bob of Jacksonville, NC and Susan M. Craft and husband Hoyt of Rocky Mount; and one sister, Lorine M. Evans of Rocky Mount; and 5 grandchildren.

A service to remember Nick was held at 11:00a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Givens and Rev. Bryan Sheehan officiating. Visitation with the family was one hour prior to the service. Burial  followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
