NASHVILLE - Carl Louis Smith, 59, passed away, Thursday, July 1, 2010. He was born June 25, 1951 in Nash County. He was the son of the late George and Peggy Cook Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Joan Sykes Smith, one son, Kevin Smith and wife Bobbie Jo of Castalia, one daughter, Laura Sutton and husband David of Nashville, one brother, George “Allen” Smith and wife Barbara of Melbourne, Florida, one sister, Mary Ezzell and husband Mark of Florida and four grandchildren.

Memorial Service was Monday, July 5, 2010 at 7:00PM in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Visitation followed after the service.
