William Edward Swanson, 91, passed away at home, Saturday, June 26, 2010. He was born June 17, 1919 in Nash County. He was the son of the late Walter and Emma Brown Swanson. William was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.

He is survived by his son, Edgar Arias of Nashville, one brother, Charles Swanson of Nashville, one sister, Elsie Sykes of Nashville.

Visitation was held Monday, June 28, 2010, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. A funeral service followed in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Frankie Carroll officiating. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The William Swanson Fund in care of Pleasant Grove Church of Nashville.
