Cathy Smith Keen, 61, passed away, Friday, June 18, 2010. She was born May 21, 1949 in Johnston County. Cathy was a loving wife and mother. Cathy always loved going to the beach and gardening. Cathy will be missed by her beloved Cocker Spaniel Sam. Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Aulton Smith and Her mother Catherine Corbett.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, David Keen,  sons David Alton Keen of Nashville, Danny Keen of Wilson, daughter, Amy Lynn Keen of Nashville and brothers Jesse Smith of Garner and Sammy Creech of Kenly, sisters Carol Creech of Garner, Virginia Brinkley of Smithfield and Nancy House of Pine level.

Visitation was from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home Monday, June 21 2010.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Nashville Church of God with the Rev. Mark Bateman and the Rev. Bruce Brumfield officiating.
