Wallace Edward “Wally” Luper, 84, passed away Monday, June 14, 2010. He was born January 4, 1926 in Nash County, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Wiley Edward and Lottie Lee Saunders Luper. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his step-mother, Susie Oast Luper; and his brother, Charles H. “Tom” Luper.

He is survived by his sisters, Nora Rose of Rocky Mount and Ida Harper and husband Henry of Rocky Mount; four nephews and one niece.

Funeral services were held at 7 pm Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Johnson Funerals and Cremations on English Road. The family received friends immediately following. Committal services were held 11 am Friday, June 18, 2010 at Pineview Cemetery.
