Floyd Franklin “Frank” Jones, 74, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010. He was born February 29, 1936 in Nash County, NC. He was the son of the late Robert Wooley Jones, Sr. and Essie Bell Farmer Jones.

Frank was preceded in death by his mother and father; his wife, Mary Elizabeth Amerson Jones; his brothers, Vernon Ray Jones, Aaron Jones, Robert Wooley Jones, Jr. “RW”, and Curtis Clinton Jones “Bill”.

Frank is survived by his two sons, Rocky Pridgen and wife Polly of Hamilton, Ray Pridgen and wife Elizabeth of Rocky Mount; his daughter, Linda Boone of Rocky Mount; sisters, Frances Hamm and husband Arthur of Rocky Mount, Stella Batchelor “Merdie” of Wilson, and Peggy Viverette of Rocky Mount; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews.

The family   received friends from 7-9 pm Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Johnson Funerals and Cremations on English Road. Funeral services were held 2 pm Friday, June 18, 2010 in Johnson’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Moore family Cemetery.
