BOBBY CLAY GLOVER


Bobby Clay Glover, 75, founder of Glover’s Towing Service, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2010. He was born May 22, 1934 in Bailey, NC, to the late Jimmie and Ada Glover. He was also preceded in death by his four brothers, Willis, Harold, Clinton, and Jimmy Glover.

Bobby is survived his  wife, Hazel Webb Glover; son, Jeff Glover and wife Robin; two daughters, Wanda G. Rhodes and husband Franklin “Peanut” and Vickey G. Bottoms and husband Glenn; three sisters, Jean Stone of Tampa, FL, Shirley Skinner of Saratoga, and Nellie Holloway of Lake City, FL; three brothers, J.B. Glover and Vernon Glover of Rocky Mount and Billy Ray Glover of Red Oak; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

Friends and relatives were received from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 661 English Road, and other times at the home on 8738 Norris Avenue.

A funeral service was held at Johnson Funerals and Cremations at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 9, 2010, conclusion of service will be held at the Chapel of Memories at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
