John C. Lamm, 82, died Nov. 10, 2006. Funeral services were held at Johnson Funerals and Cremations in Nashville on Nov. 12 with the Rev. Mike Edwards officiating. Burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 20, 1923 in Nash County, the son of the late Nero Lee Lamm and Minnie Dew Lamm. He was predeceased by his brothers, J. W. Lamm and Marshall Lamm, and sister Gladys L. Edwards.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Myrtle Rose Lamm; sons John Anthony "Tony" Lamm and wife Mary Louise of Columbia, S.C., and Dwight C. Lamm and wife Rachel of Nashville; daughter Jennifer L. Alston and husband William of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Momeyer Ruritan Club Scholarship Fund, 4868 Momeyer Way, Nashville, NC 27856.
