Darlene Smith Perry, 54, passed away on Tuesday, February 09, 2010. She was born September 06, 1955 in Tampa FL, daughter of Luther and Rosetta Smith of Nash County.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Alfred Perry; daughters, Kimberly Perry (Christopher Yurick) and Heather Perry; seven sisters, Dorothy Wingo (Frank), Deborah Sullivan (Danny), Denise Brown (Rev. Jim Brown), Diana Ward (Gary), Delilah Adkins (Sam), Dawn Jones (David), and Darolyn Peacock (Ronnie); mother-in-law, Helen B. Perry (the late Alfred Thomas Perry Jr.); and brothers-in-law, Bobby Perry (Tina), Tommy Perry, and Gene Perry (Erika).

The family received friends and relatives from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home. A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Finley Cutshaw officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
