BESSIE F. JOYNER
NASHVILLE - Bessie, 82, passed away, Sunday, January 24, 2010. She was born June 6, 1927 in Franklin County. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Betty Lucas Finn. She was preceded in death by her husband William I. Joyner, two daughters, Shirley Joyner and Joan Hart, six brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include one son, William I. Joyner Jr. and wife Judy of Nashville, three daughters, Inez Langley and husband Harold of Kenly, Rose Sanders and husband Ronald of Sandy Cross, and Emily Perry of Sandy Cross, one sister, Katherine Long of Henderson, a very special friend and sister-in-law, Emily Foster of Raleigh, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was Monday, January 25, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral Service was Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Reavis and Rev. Judson Dunlap officiating. Burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery of Wilson.
